My Goals
When going into high school, one might want to start considering options and where they want to be in a few years. One might set some short term or long term goals, or both. Well, I’m not going to lie when I say that I have been keeping my goals in mind since freshman year. Sure, they have changed but it is okay to have goals that change. I have grown as a person due to reaching certain goals and I am where I am today because of them.
Some short term goals that I have recently set for myself is to be the first out of my siblings to graduate from high school. I want to be able to walk to get my diploma and be able to say, “Yes, I did graduate and yes, I do have my diploma.” Another one is to make a twenty seven or twenty eight on the ACT. In order to reach this goal I will have to work hard and study and push myself to actually focus. I would also like to be accepted into Faulkner State Community College with a scholarship for Art or Musical Theatre. With me being a senior this year I really have to focus on what is best for my future.
In six to eight years from now, I want to be out of college and settling down in a house of my own. I don’t want to be married, I don’t want kids, I just want to be able to say that I’m graduated from college with a masters degree in Nursing and have a job at a pediatrician office doing ultra sounds and changing women’s lives.
